The Last Flight of the Sarah Mae (First published at Neverworlds, now

A Bird in Hand (Read at Fictionwise.com - Epub/Palm/Sony/Kindle/etc.)
Every proper story has its heroes, not all of them necessarily human in this brave near future. Hard-driving businesswoman Miss Kim faces the most difficult choice of her life. Birds and humans have finally, reluctantly, buried some of their mutual hostility. (One might even say, abirdheid is a thing of the past.) Chimps and dolphins may be as intelligent, but birds have a great advantage in numbers, and (with or without redistricting) that has propelled them into the forefront of politics and rights issues. Humans are often on the defensive. In this particular story, human and avian meet at the painful crossroads of self-sacrifice and mutual recognition after a horrific car accident.

I've still got a few author's copies of my cyberwarfare thriller,
Noontide Night,
I ordinarily wouldn't plug my own book so much, but this one is for a
good cause: I'm donating all the profits from Noontide Night to the
American Red Cross.
